Fuzz and many more.
Welcome to the party! Grab a slice of cake and get comfy as we dive into some of the sweet sounds of Birthday Germanium Frybread Fuzz. Come along as we explore glassy boosted tones, powerful distortions, full-blown fuzzes . . . and many more.
0:00 - 1:30 Fuzz for all occasions.
The intro song consists of three guitar tracks and one bass track. All overdrive, distortion, and fuzz tones were created using only Birthday Germanium Frybread Fuzz.
1:31 - 2:27 Have fuzz, will travel.
For this example, we’ll begin with the fuzz control all the way down, while volume and tone around twelve o’clock. This setting introduces subtle breakup and compression while retaining much of the character of the bypass signal. A quick turn of Frybread’s powerful tone control makes it easy to dial in your sound without a fuss. As we increase the fuzz control, our sound is transformed from low gain jangle to mid focused distortion, and finally full-on fuzz. And just as easily as we amped up the signal, with a few turns of the knobs, we are back to a low gain edge of breakup sound.
2:28 - 3:58 Summoning thunder.
In this section, we add some power behind a lightly strummed chord progression. This example shows how much Birthday Germanium Frybread Fuzz can shape the feel of a section of music. We are able to dial in both warm and bright tonalities, with a wide array of classic gain sounds ranging from subtle boost all the way to searing fuzz.
3:59 - 4:42 Frybread before noon.
There is so much versatility in this box, so for this section we’ll try to focus in on just the lower half of the fuzz control. If you keep the fuzz control at noon or lower, you have a wonderful overdrive/distortion that offers an amp-like feel with powerful and intuitive tone shaping. It excels as an always on overdrive, and stacks beautifully with other drives and fuzzes. And thanks to its internal pickup simulator, it can be place anywhere in your chain.
4:43 - 6:10 Three knobs, no probs.
In this example, we’ll further dive into the the tone shaping and gain ranges of Birthday Germanium Frybread Fuzz. We’ll bring the fuzz up to about halfway, then we’ll listen the the range of the tone control. After that, we’ll bring the fuzz all the way up, then again listen to the range of the tone control. It shouldn’t be hard to dial in your sound, and with Birthday Germanium Frybread Fuzz it isn’t.
6:11 - 6:58 Birthday bashed.
For this last example, we’ll explore the some of the fuzzier tones available with Birthday Germanium Frybread Fuzz. We’ll start with the fuzz control at noon and increase it from there. Setting the fuzz control below noon will give you a wide range of low gain overdrive and distortion sounds, while fuzz settings at or above noon will be more intense with massive low end, long lasting sustain, and an aggressive breakup.
