This year in honor of Indigenous Peoples' Day, we decided to release a small run of our Niisoo Harmonic Equalizer in textured black finish. Niisoo allows you to interact with filtering in a whole new way, featuring three distinctive filter modes, as well as controls for frequency bounds, rez, expression, and more, for an experience only limited by your imagination.

Niisoo utilizes analog synthesizer filtering to give you powerful tone shaping, that is both inspiring and versatile. Whether you’re using Niisoo to get that perfect wah sound, synthy filter sweeps, manual phase tones, or instantly recalling EQ presets, Niisoo is ready for whatever creative task you throw at it.

For all examples in this demo, we are using a treadle-style expression to shift between our selected frequency bounds.

For this section, we’ve dialed in a dark setting on Niisoo’s low-pass mode. This will restrict most high frequencies, creating a “volume swell” effect with the addition of customizable filtering on top. This allows you to simultaneously control both your volume and tone from a single expression pedal!

Next let’s check out Niisoo’s high-pass mode. We’ve set our low bound for a thick and mid-focused tone, while our upper bound is set to be much thinner. This allows you to pull all the bass out of a signal to instantly create a more focused and sharp tonality. This can also be really useful in capturing “lo-fi or telephone” sounds.

Lastly, let’s check out the band-pass mode to create some manually controlled phase-shifting and some super customizable wah sounds. In this example, we’re using the expression pedal to slowly shift between our two selected frequency points. This creates an extremely satisfying shifting effect that will have you second guessing your old phaser and your wah.
