Ghost Ridge Super Series

Sometimes the best ideas just sit around for a while.

We typically sit on a mountain of ideas but never get time to release them all into the wild, so they usually sit in our NativeAudio vault until the time is right. Well, the time might be just right today. Today, we're announcing the Super Series Ghost Ridge Multi-Reverb. A NativeAudio classic with a new minimalist look that embodies intuitiveness and the spirit of simplicity

Ghost Ridge: A quick refresher.

If you're new to Ghost Ridge or need a reminder, this is our multi-reverb pedal that delivers versatile, creative reverb atmospheres that transform simple signals into beautiful spatial textures. Ghost Ridge features four distinct algorithms: Hall, Plate, Room, and Spring—each with unique sonic personalities for maximum versatility. You get independent mix, depth, and modulation controls across all four algorithms, plus 4 user-programmable presets to instantly recall your favorite settings.

From intimate room reflections to massive cavernous decays that transform your playing space, Ghost Ridge covers everything from lush spatial textures to haunting reverb tones that take your signal into a new creative space. There's also optional reverb trails for natural decay when you switch the effect off, smart switching capability for both latching and momentary operation, and a buffered signal design that keeps your tone clean and uncompromised regardless of cable length or signal chain position.

Tone is always at the forefront of what we do but... Ghost Ridge isn't just about the reverb. The pedal is a tribute to my Blackfeet (Amsskaapi Piikuni) heritage and tells a story that's important to who we are as NativeAudio.

A story that matters.

Ghost Ridge Super Series is a tribute to my Blackfeet (Amsskaapi Piikuni) heritage and honors one of the most challenging chapters in our people's history. During the Buffalo Days, buffalo were the main source of life for our Blackfeet Nation, providing food, shelter, clothing, and tools. In the late 1800s, U.S. military leaders and white settlers deliberately destroyed the buffalo herds to decrease the food source of Plains Indians, reducing the population from over sixty-five million to less than one thousand.

Following this devastation, one-quarter of the Blackfeet starved and were buried at Ghost Ridge, located on the Blackfeet Reservation. The Super Series design tells this story through scattered X's across the dark surface—burial markers representing those we lost. But there are also bright elements breaking through that darkness, honoring today's Blackfeet people who carry forward a resilient legacy and continue building toward a brighter future.

Ghost Ridge Super Series embodies that same spirit of resilient hope—transforming simple signals into something beautiful and expansive, reminding us that even through our darkest chapters, we honor both the memory of those before us and the enduring legacy that guides us toward tomorrow's possibilities.

What's the deal with Super Series?

The whole Super Series thing is about playing with negative space and seeing what happens when you strip things down a bit. We've wanted to explore this idea of contrast—what you show versus what you leave to the imagination.

The Super Series design philosophy embraces negative space and minimalism. Those scattered X's across the dark surface tell a powerful story while red LEDs add an atmospheric glow that complements the Ghost Ridge aesthetic. We kept the labeling minimal too—just H, P, R, and S on the face. The full algorithm names are on the bottom if you need them. Sometimes less is more.

This isn't just about circuitry—it's a tribute to our Blackfeet heritage, where detailed crafting and exploration flows through everything we create. From custom reverb algorithms designed by musicians for musicians to the minimalist interfacing, Ghost Ridge Super Series embodies intuitiveness and the spirit of simplicity so you can spend less time tweaking and more time playing.

This same design also showed up on our Indigenous Peoples' Day Ghost Ridge that sold out in 2024 (that one was teal and gray), but this version brings it back to the classic textured black with gray print.

Let's dig into the sound.

It's been a hot minute since we've explored in depth the sound of Ghost Ridge, so let's take a dive into the Super Series and see what type of tones we can cook up!

0:00 - 1:02 Layer by layer.

We're mixing Hall, Spring, and Room across different tracks here, keeping the mix pretty low on the bass and guitars so things don't get too crazy. It's more about building an atmosphere than drowning everything in reverb.

1:03 - 2:03 Sacred space.

Hall algorithm with both mix and depth pushed up high. This gives you that warm, cavernous thing with a decay that just keeps going. It's like turning your practice space into something bigger and more inspiring—the kind of reverb that makes you want to play different.

2:04 - 2:44 Making room.

Switching to Room with moderate mix and high depth. This recreates that feeling of playing in a smaller, reflective space. The reverb tail sticks around long enough to be interesting, but the lower mix keeps it from taking over. Good for when you want some space but not too much drama.

2:45 - 3:40 Stop and reflect.

Same Room setting but with the mix pushed higher. Notice how the same algorithm becomes something completely different just by changing how much you blend in. That's the thing about Ghost Ridge—each algorithm has multiple personalities depending on how you set it.

3:41 - 4:38 Hang time is not a crime.

Plate algorithm doing its thing with that massive reverb and long decay. There's a slightly metallic quality in the treble that helps reverb-heavy parts cut through when you're playing with a full band. It's not subtle, but sometimes you don't want subtle.

Let's make some noise!

Now that we've explored the possible, let's go and create the impossible. This is a limited drop, so when it's gone, it's gone. We're grateful to keep sharing the Ghost Ridge story—it means a lot to our Blackfeet people to keep this history alive.
